Worm Video

Hello Worm Experts!
Since we haven't looked in on the worm bin in a while I thought I would post a video that we took of the worm with that fancy microscope. Do you remember what those lines are called that go across the worm? How can you tell the front from the back? Do you remember how a worm moves? (Hint: We had people act it out in class). Post your comments,
Mr. Willis

Hanna in Florida!

Hi,

Yesterday we went to the beach and swam in the Gulf of Mexico. There we swam and had lunch on the beach. We saw two porpoises jumping out of the water. Then we saw pelicans swooping down and eating these huge fish. The water temperature was 69 degrees and 80 degrees out of the water. Cullen and I buried each other in the sand.
We are having fun.

Hi,
Yesterday when we arrived at the beach there was a huge group of pelicans swooping down and eating and floating. Me, Cullen, gram and mom walked out to a sand bar. We found a rock that looked like a hippo, a fish and a dog. We saw people para sailing. How you para sail is you go up in the air and you are sitting on a chair like thing and it is attached to a parachute. It looked fun but I didn't do it.

Hi,
On Saturday we went to the sun-n-fun that is a water park. They had a lazy and 5 water slides. My favorite water slide was number 5 because you got to go down the water slide on a tube. There were lily pads too. On the lily pads you needed to get to the other side of the pool. The way I made my way across was I hopped like a frog and it worked.
I'm having fun and see you on Wednesday.
Hanna

The Worm Bin

Hello Scientists!

You have spent two wonderful afternoons observing and learning about the habitat of the red worm. I enjoyed watching you work with the younger students and you used many excellent describing words to explain what you saw. Here are some photos and some video to share with your family! Please comment about what you enjoyed, your observations, or what you hope to learn.

The 3rd and 4th graders at Williston Central School were studying Government, and on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 9am, the 3rd and 4th graders at Williston Central School went to the auditorium to listen to two candidates. They listened to Senator Ginny Lyons and Representative Jim McCullough. The 3rd and 4th graders wrote questions to ask them about their jobs, lives, better schools, and education.
